This is the itinerary we are aiming for, but we are very well aware that it might be a very different story in the end. The idea is to start from Budapest and cycle east towards Romania, reach the coast of the black sea, go up towards Ukraine, cycle Crimea, take a boat to Georgia and cross Azerbaijan.
Then, we’ll cross the Caspian sea to reach Turkmenistan (too hot at that time to cycle in the desert in Turkmenistan, we’ll find another way like taking a train 🙂 or go trough Kazakhstan (depends of how easy we’ll get the visa) then Uzbekistan , cycle towards the beautiful mountains of Kyrgysztan for finally reach the chinese border before flying back to Budapest from Bishkek enjoying the Sziget festival and then cycling back to Belgium
We have no clue if this is feasible and realistic, but let’s try to make it!
