Hi guys, This is an amazing day coming even if it doesn’t look like, we woke up and I didn’t pay attention to my carrier string getting to my back wheel and it is stuck in the chain. Fortunately I could fix it without major issues. By the time we were making some tests on the bicycles it was midday. After a quick look at the map we are now ready, but it seems the map wants to play with us and we realized it being in front of what was supposed to be a bridge!
We found ourselves with no other option then following the river for 10K to get the real one. but the hungarian countryside reveals his true charms despite the strong wind in our faces :).
Were do we go now??
After a good Burger, it is time to get back on track and the same story comes all over again. We mean to cross a bridge where it suppose to be on the map. We are forced to ask the locals and follow the river for another 15K. Being short on water we stop in a farm but apparently they just have beers and they a are bit too friendly trying to make us stay for the night. They probably don’t see too many people from abroad 🙂 ;
We declined the offer cause we want to cycle further before the sunset, which was a brilliant idea for what’s coming now 🙂 .
Yves wants to stop to get some sugar (apple) and that guy on a bicycle comes from nowhere. He has a pretty nice bike and might be around 60. He looks really curious about where we go and he barely speaks English. I give him a sticker which he directly puts on his bike.
I didn’t see the olympic sign just below.
He goes to Szentes, our target of the day so we follow him on a nice cycling path for the last 20K. He’s pretty fit for his 69 years old. On the way he explains us that he cycled to every Olympic games for the past 20 years and that he is now training for the next one in London.
This guy is a legend and his name is Laszlo Cseuz. Everybody we cross on the way waves to him. He even goes with us to a camping place where i’m writing from. At the reception we ask for the price and the girl tells us there is no need for us to pay. It is not negociable, Laszlo rocks! By the time we get confortable in our cottage he gets back to the camp with two brand new books about him and his amazing journeys.
So thank you so much Mister Laszlo Cseuz. We can now enjoy a super place with thermal swiming pools and sleep well in beds, it was an honor to cycle those 20K in your company 🙂 🙂 🙂
Enorme!
Excellent!! Another good sign for your trip 🙂 Good thing you didn’t stop for those beers 😉

When telling this story to some friends, it turned out I have some friends from Szentes:) and of course they all know the guy:) He was the sports teaching in the local school before, so maybe that is another explanation why he was so caring. Hope you will have more such coincidents:)
